Habit of exercising


🤔Would you like to exercise more?

Now when you’re staying at home we can use that time to build new habits!!

.

Do you struggle with finding time, energy and motivation to exercise?

.

Here you have a few ideas how you can develop and maintain (!) exercise routine:

.

✅Build more exercise into your daily routine.

👉Take stairs instead of the elevator

👉park farther from the office

👉bike to work

.

✅Find some specific cues to prompt you to exercise.

👉Prepare your running shoes in the morning

👉Put a sticky note with the word “exercise” on it

.

✅Find an intrinsic (internal) motivator to exercise instead of just an extrinsic one

👉Change “My doctor tells me to start exercising” to “I want to have more energy”

.

✅Find an exercise activity that you really enjoy.

👉Some people like the structure of exercise classes while others like the flexibility of exercising alone.

.

✅Be clear what regular reward(s) you’re getting from exercising.

👉Pay attention to how much calmer you feel after a run or workout

.

✅Think about your barriers to exercising, and find a plan to address them.

👉Example:If you’re tired or hungry at the end of the day, exercise in the morning or at lunchtime.

👉If joining a gym is too expensive, exercise with YouTube channel.
