This one rule can drastically improve your sleep.😴
.
📱Most of us struggle with this habit: scrolling away on your phone before bed.
.
👉Want to sleep better?
.
❗️DITCH YOUR PHONE BEFORE BED.
.
The blue light emitted by your smartphone screen suppresses the production of melatonin, the hormone that controls your sleep-wake cycle (aka circadian rhythm). That means it takes you longer to fall asleep.
.
If you really HAVE TO use screens at night, we recommend downloading a free software program called f.lux that adjusts my computer's tint of the screen. Similar software is available on your phone (Blue Light Reducer, Blue Light Filter, Night Shift on iPhone).
.
👓Alternatively, you can start wearing blue-light wearing glasses. Blue-light filtering glasses help improve sleep and work productivity according to the recent study published in "Journal of Applied Psychology".
.
Mindless scrolling through your phone is a learned habit, and the easiest way to unlearn it is to replace it with another one like reading a book or meditating.
.
This is our tip of the day: For a night, try putting the phone aside and see the difference.
